Re-Sodding Project - Spring 2021
Просмотров 3233 года назад
I decided to re-sod my back yard with Palasaides Zoysia... by myself (of course). As fast as this time-lapse video goes, it actually took about 6 hours to lay. I calculated that I did about 800 squats that day. I couldn't hardly walk for the next few days afterward. Thanks to my son, Madison, son-in-law, Nathan, and my business partner, Charlie and his four kids for the help! I should also ment...

Playhouse - Swing Build / Timelapse Video

I built this playhouse - swing set in July 2020 for my grandkids in Virginia. The most challenging part? Getting lumber in the middle of a pandemic when everyone else was also doing projects and lumber became scarce... especially treated lumber. See ruclips.net/video/ICZAzqzevUA/видео.html for tour of finished product.

Phoebe Playing Soccer
Просмотров 834 года назад
Every day I would come home from work where Phoebe would be ready and waiting to play her favorite game we called, "soccer". It was actually more like "keep-a-way" or "fetch", but she loved playing it. Notice how she somehow seems to observe out-of-bounds rules. Tragically, we recently lost Phoebe when she got out of her back yard and was hit by a car. Phoebe was a most beloved pet.

Here is a tour of the inside of my workshop just after completion (ruclips.net/video/kBYoD6lLT_w/видео.html) and before I started junking it up with all my crap. When its clean it still looks rather nice, but right now, since I just got finished building kitchen cabinets, it looks like a wreck! Nonetheless, it is serving the purpose and allowing me to do just about anything I need to do. The lo...

Doesnt look like that casio is sold as a portable keyboard but only comes with a full frame and case. Thats a lot of extra money spent on something you dont need! Just curious why you didnt just go with any number of portable ones which would have saved you money? Ive been contemplating a similar project but going with a kawai portable piano.

Such a great video and amazing job! One thing, you must have a tough butt to use that wooden stool without a pad. Most would get hemorrhoids from that sort of seat if used more than maybe an hour or two a week.

Hi, would you be so kind to tell me if that was 8x8x10 you used, and for the deck frame, was that 2x8x10 ? Did you used bolts to secure the 8x8 to the frame or what did you used for fasteners ? Thanks a lot!

Very impressed and wish I had found this earlier. You are clearly someone with an experimental mindset with an eye for quality work and detail! I was wondering if you or anyone else knew of a fully weighted digital keyboard that was 2-1/2" high or less after disassembly of the case? I have been hoping to do something similar with a baby grand that didn't require cutting out the recess for the keyboard in the bed of the piano as you did. I can guarantee my craftsmanship would not be anywhere near the level of yours.

Cool way to display the action and keys from the conversion, vs throwing them away. Nice indeed. Admitted, I was sad to see the baby grand piano dissasembled. But you did a stellar job keeping it "original" looking from the outside. If it weren't for the CASIO stickers, Im not sure anyone would notice. I would've loved to have seen a Kawai digital piano go in the grand. Their sound is incredible.

This is much better than the junky electronic grands they make. Of course you won't get the sound and feel of a real baby Grand but this cabinet is far better than any on the market. The best electric piano I ever heard. 73

Hi! Great job with the piano conversion. I would like to send you a couple pics of my baby grand. I wonder if you think it could work as a conversion project or not. It’s got Queen Ann legs. The underside supports that I would need to cut out like you did have me a little concerned. Is it absolutely necessary to cut out a section of the piano below the digital keyboard so the keyboard has room when installed?
